CLP4NET Site Policy

Welcome to the Cyber Learning Platform for Network Education and Training ("CLP4NET"). This platform is owned by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using CLP4NET. By using CLP4NET you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You will also be subject to these terms and conditions for any new sites or services added to the CLP4NET.

Right of modification

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at our sole discretion at any time. We will of course take reasonable steps to notify you of such changes. The changes will be effective immediately upon posting and your continued use of CLP4NET, with or without notification, constitutes binding acceptance of the updated terms and conditions.

Breach of terms

Any unauthorised use of CLP4NET or its content automatically and immediately terminates any permission or license granted by the IAEA.

Termination Rights

You agree that IAEA, at its sole discretion, may terminate your use of CLP4NET or your participation in it thereof, for any reason or no reason and that IAEA shall have any liability to you for any such action.

Waiver

If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.

Access to website

We will do our best to ensure the continuous availability of CLP4NET, but there are certain circumstances beyond our control which mean we cannot guarantee it. Also, your access to CLP4NET may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new functionalities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction and notify you in advance.

Conduct

You agree to use CLP4NET in accordance with all applicable laws. You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way. You understand that you, and not IAEA, are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us and you must use the website for lawful purposes only. You further agree that you will not use the Website or any other CLP4NET computing resources in relation with any of the following:

- fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence or other unlawful activity;

- sending, using or reusing any prohibited material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing; or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties;

- causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;

- accessing or attempting to access any other users' accounts, or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using CLP4NET;

- we reserve the right to withdraw any content and/or information without notice and at our sole discretion and to pursue any cause of action against you available to us under applicable laws.

Defamation claims

As it is not possible for us to be aware of all the contents posted by users on our website at all times, CLP4NET operates on a "notice and takedown" basis. If you believe that any content on the website contains a defamatory statement or other prohibited material, please notify us immediately by email at SUPPORT EMAIL ADDRESS. Once this procedure has been followed, IAEA will make all reasonable endeavours to remove the identified defamatory content within a reasonable time.

Privacy

When visiting our websites, we may track, collect and aggregate non-personal information indicating, among other things, which pages of the Website were visited, the order in which they were visited, when they were visited, and which hyperlinks were clicked. We also collect information about the URLs from which you arrived to our Website. Collecting such information may involve logging the IP address, operating system and browser software used by each user of the Website.

We also use or may use cookies and/or web beacons to help us determine and identify repeat visitors, the type of content and sites to which a user of our Website links, the length of time each user spends at any particular area of our website, and the specific functionalities that users choose to use. Essentially, cookies are a user's identification card for the Website servers. Web beacons are small graphic files linked to our servers that allow us to track your use of our Site and related functionalities. We only collect personal information that you provided to us when you registered / updated your profile. Its sole purpose is to inform you of events, news or maintenance updates, enable you to attend courses, participate in forums and communicate with other participants.

Honor code

All participants agree to abide by the following code of conduct; I will

- register only for one account

- reference all used material to its source (if applicable)

- not make solutions to assessment tools available to anyone else

- work on the answers in exams on my own (except for assignments that explicitly ask for collaboration)

- not engage in any activities that will dishonestly affect my/others' results

Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if they delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

Licence - website use

IAEA grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this website. This license does not include downloading (other than caching) or modifying the Website or any portion of it, except with prior written consent of the IAEA. The Website or any portion of it (including but not limited to code, images, text (i.e. learning resource descriptions), layouts, arrangements, displays, illustrations, audio and video clips, HTML files and other content) may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited or otherwise exploited for any commercial or non-personal purpose without prior written consent of the IAEA and is protected by the international copyright and database right laws.
